Dublin based painter. Has recently had a very well received show at The Arts Club, Dublin.
Merry is self-taught.
A recurring theme over the decades has been that of the circus. Horses and cavorting torsos feature in these brightly coloured glimpses of the Big Top.
He has exhibited regularly throughout his long career as an artist and has paintings in collections in USA, New Zealand and Australia as well as closer to home.
Well collected by other artists, Merry's work is owned by Milo O'Shea, Derek Davis and Mick O'Dea to name but a few.
A delightful book of his Circus paintings has just been published.
