Cliff Brooks was born in Belfast. He has lived and worked in the city for the past forty years. Brooks is respected as a good solid painter, moving from an expressionistic slant towards abstraction through mixed media and collage. His work can be seen as inspired by children’s art and by the work of artists from the Cobra group.
He has exhibited widely throughout Ireland and recently had a very successful solo exhibition in Belfast.
