Born in 1968 in the Chinese provence of Canton, Chhour studied at The Art Academy of Hong Kong.
At 21 he moved to Paris where he became a student of a Professor from des Beaux Arts de Paris. In Paris, he developed a passion for the work of the Great Masters of Impressionism.
From an early figurative style, Chhour's work moved towards a more Impressionist or Fauve style.
At 35 he moved to the Cotes d'Azur
Chhour's work has steadily become more entrenched in lyrical abstraction. His rich palette and strong sense of line merges with an underlying use of Chinese calligraphy.
He has exhibited widely including at Meaux, Paris a La Bastille, Chatou and Hong Kong.
