Orla Egan and Bernie Quinn

Orla’s work is well known to us here in Donegal, she is one of our best known artists and exhibits extensively throughout the country as well as further afield.
Egan is a figurative painter who works in the Primitive tradition and it is this unique approach to our social history that gives her work it’s distinctive style
Widely exhibited throughout Ireland, she has shown regularly at RHA, RUA, Iontas and Boyle Arts Festival.
Her work is in the collections of; OPW, ESB, Axa Insurance, Glebe Gallery, Jean Kennedy Smith, Brian Fallon and Michael D Higgins to name but a few.
She will show work of local interest including Tory Island, Brownknowe School and The Fleadh Ceoil in Letterkenny.
Born in Co Tyrone, Bernie Quinn graduated in Textile and Fashion Design from the University of Ulster. She then studied Art and Design at University of Brighton.
She has exhibited at University of Ulster, Burnavon Arts Centre and in several Belfast galleries.
She has won the Design Directorate Award and has illustrated “ Tou Tou “ by Fiona Dunckley.
In recent years, she moved to Donegal where she has worked to develop vividly painted structural landscapes. Through a fusion of the disciplines of design, textiles and painting she constructs each piece in a mathematical format.
