Trudie Mooney, who lives in the Ramelton area, has been attracting national attention for her beautifully composed and painted still lifes. She has had solo shows in Dublin, at the Solomon Gallery, and in Northern Ireland, and has also shown at the Royal Ulster Academy.
Originally from Brighton, she studied art to post-graduate level in England and then lived for a number of years in Spain. She came to Donegal in the early 1990s.
Her latest paintings show Trudie continuing to develop in her approach, taking on new challenges and perspectives within the still-life genre.
Her work has been very much in demand at Ross Fine Art since the gallery opened in spring 2007.
