A native of Donegal, Johnny Boyle studied art at Dun Laoghaire College of Art in the seventies. As a painter he returned to the land of his childhood which is an unending scource of inspiration. Over the decades he has become one of the best loved painters of this magnificent corner of our Island.
Boyle has exhibited at the Royal Hibernian Academy and at the Royal Ulster Academy where he is an award winner. He has won many awards at the Glebe Gallery Churchill and has exhibited at Iontas, the prestigious National Small Works Exhibition. He has also had shows internationally in places such as Holland, Germany and the United States.
Boyle is very well represented in public and private collections.
