Ross Fine Art
Born in Paris, Christine Cheim received a Masters in Fine Arts at the University of Paris and a Masters in Ethno-Aesthetics from the Paris Ecole des Hautes Etudes.
Cheim’s semi-abstract figurative work combines her accomplished drawing technique with a masterful use of intense colour as her figures writhe and entwine leaving their performance open to interpretation.
Her work is intimate, it is passionate and her distinctive use of colour is breathtaking.
Applauded by Professor Ann Crookshank as being a “ fine draughtswoman “ who employs an “ exceptional use of colour “, Cheim’s work has been attracting a lot of attention and has moved easily into collections as far reaching as Sweden, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
