Ross Fine Art
“Christine Cheim is one of the most exciting artists I’ve come across on the contemporary scene. This is a significant exhibition and a chance to see the latest work from an artist I’m sure we will hear more about in future.”
This is the latest in a series of exhibitions since the gallery opened early 2007. Ross Fine Art is now established as one of the most important commercial galleries outside Dublin or Belfast. There are works by Irish artists such as Tony O’Malley, Norah McGuinness, Derek Hill, Deborah Brown and Melita Denaro. There are also works by world renowned artists such as Sean Scully and Lucian Freud.
“I am delighted with the success of the first year of the gallery. We’ve had clients from Dublin and Belfast attend openings and private viewings. Janet sees a steady growth in the number of people interested in investing in art .The gallery is building a strong reputation as a friendly and informal place where people can gain an insight into the wonderful world of collecting pictures. New works are being added regularly so that even the frequent visitor can always find something new.
Professor Ann Crookshank, Deborah Brown, Frankie Webber and Trudie Mooney were among those who attended the opening of the Christine Cheim show. Professor Crookshank regards Cheim as a “wonderful draughtswoman” and commended her “ outstanding use of colour”.
