Ross Fine Art
Taking delivery of new works is always exciting, even more so when the artists are of the calibre of Tony O'Malley, Eamon Colman and Trudie Mooney.
And on top of that there's the anticipation of the paintings from Christine Cheim in France for her solo show at Ross Fine Art, starting on 22nd February.
The O'Malley work is gouache and watercolour on paper and was painted in 1973, when he was living in St Ives in Cornwall. This was the year he married the Canadian artist Jane Harris.
Eamon Colman is rising fast in the Irish art firmament and has been generating a lot of interest in Ross Fine Art in recent times. These two latest paintings are very much a pair, small works and certainly affordable for this artist.
The works of Trudie Mooney don't linger long on the walls of Ross Fine Art so we're enjoying two very fine still lifes while they're here! These are larger paintings, 'Nine objects' and 'Five objects with white cloth', beautifully painted and with that wonderful atmosphere which Trudie creates in her work.
It's been a pleasure having a selection of works in the gallery from the artists featured in our first show of 2008 - Buncrana's Josephine Kelly, Tamara Vasylenko, Cheryl Bleakley and Harold Kopel. This show concludes next weekend.
Then the focus is on the Ross Fine Art first anniversary exhibition from Christine Cheim - expect something very special. . .
