Ross Fine Art
Graduate of Belfast College of Art, Pamela Manson studied Fine Art under the able instruction of artists such as Neil Shawcross and Roger Lively.
She began her teaching career in the Belfast of 1972. She then moved to the Grammar school in Newry and it was there that she worked to establish one of the most important Art and Design Departments in the country. In 1997 she became Head of the Art Department and there she remained until her retirement.
Since then Pamela Manson has applied herself full-time to painting.
She is devoted to the lush landscape of the hills and bogs of her beloved Donegal.
Seduced by the beauty of our county, she endeavours to capture the mood and atmosphere of our stunning bogland. With an eloquence born out of passion for the land, she combines a sumptuous palette of ochres and umbers with a robust painterly style to produce these vivid landscapes.
Through these noble paintings we have the chance to immerse ourselves in this ancient landscape.
All welcome to join Pamela Manson at Ross Fine Art at the opening of the exhibition...7pm Friday 20 May. There will be more than 20 landscapes of Donegal on show
